About Me

Hello there! I'm Corrie! I live in Olympia, WA with my husband Russell and our 3 boys, Nolan(6/19/07), Ephraim(3/28/09) and Arden(11/29/12), who was lucky enough to acquire an extra copy of the 21st chromosome, meaning he has Down syndrome! (you can read the story of his introduction into the world here)! We have a dog, a cat and a fish and some plants.
I am forever dying my hair odd colours, and looking to improve my skills in the styling of hair and makeup.
I am very much a vegetarian (pescaterian since I was 8 vegetarian since I was 16) and temporarily I am dairy free, wait no, I'm not dairy free, I'm lactating... I don't eat dairy, at least not until I am no longer breastfeeding a sweet boy who is allergic to dairy.
I am the worst housewife you could possibly imagine and though I try I don't suspect that will ever change.
I have a reading problem, admitance is the first step right? Well I definitely have a book addiction. Sci-fi, Mystery, Romance, Paranormal; but it needs to have a happy ending though. Reading is my escape from reality and every story should have a happy ending.

In no particular order I love:
  • tea
  • Doctor Who
  • babywearing
  • woven wraps
  • pretending I live in a musical
  • drawing
  • religion (but I'm not religious)
  • being difficult
  • picking my nose
  • picking my children's noses
  • picking my children's ears
  • being an advocate for my children
  • making a difference
  • reading
  • karaoke
  • K-Pop and K-Dramas
Through this blog I hope to inspire, educate and entertain.

  1. Wait! How come Arden was born on 11/12? I'm pretty sure I was sleeping on your couch taking care of your other 2 wild things on 11/28. Are you counting from pre-term labor? And you've been a pescatarian since birth except that short foray into pepperoni and wings at age 4. I'm surprised mermaid is not on your love list (once a mermaid, always a mermaid).

  2. I don't know why I can't remember to check your blog regularly. Same problem I complain about those folks who won't check their email, I expect. Grandma just told me that you should write a Christmas letter (after I'd given her the one I wrote). Her reaction to my Christmas letter was kind of typical . . . tentatively positive. Anyway, it made me remember your blog. So next year, write a Christmas letter or you could do like my friend Cece did, write it in August. Loved all the new stories, new as of October. I'm sure Melissa has read them. She's a much better mother to you than I am, as far as reading your blog.
